Yoga Beyond the Poses Teacher Training and Immersion

“Yoga is skill in action” the Bhagavad Gita teaches us. What does this mean to us in today’s world? Join us as we become more skillful in our relationships, work and community.

Why is yoga so popular? Besides shaping and strengthening our bodies, yoga releases tension and steadies the mind.

You may be ready to deepen your experience of yoga, but aren’t sure how to do it. Or perhaps you are ready to become a yoga teacher but don’t want to settle for an ordinary Teacher Training.

That’s why I founded Teacher Training and Seeker Immersions; and have created a convenient model for delivering high caliber yoga training for those wanting deeper study, and for those interested in becoming registered yoga teachers.

Sarah is a teacher for teachers. Her wisdom has inspired my own learning far beyond the exercise component of yoga and into the realms of meditation, philosophy, and deep personal growth. For all this, she's one of the most accessible educators I know, combining her practical sense as a Registered Nurse of over 35 years with her useful knowledge as an Ayurvedic practitioner. Sarah truly walks the walk on this path and there are few I'd trust as much as she to be able to convey these deeply profound teachings in such a way that we 'regular folk' can understand them.

Jim Marshall

"I began my yoga practice with Sarah 15 years ago, having known her since 1995. I felt that learning from her with her would be the next best step for my practice. That has turned out to be a good decision. Not only am I able to work on and perfect my asanas and pranayama, Sarah has the ability to explain what we are learning in class so that everyone in class understands the importance and the history of that day’s practice, and how it can be applied to mind, body and spirit. For me, that is why I began practicing yoga in the first place."

Apply for the Yoga Teacher Training and let’s sort it out with your interview.

How do I apply ?

Just click here for easy online application.

Are the interviews in person or on the phone?

It depends on your schedule and where you live.

I’m already a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher but I’m ready to reboot, what should I do?

Good question! Have a look at the Modules, they are designed for rebooting and include CEUs from Yoga Alliance. If you have other questions, email me.

What is the Application Fee?

The Application fee is $250 for the Yoga Teacher Tract and is put toward your tuition. The application fee is non-refundable if you cancel, but will be held and put toward future trainings.

Do you offer scholarships or payment plans?

It’s my intention to bring a diverse and committed community of yogis together for these trainings. I offer a limited number of Seva (service) Scholarships, and will work with those who need payment plans.

Where will the trainings be held?

All trainings will be held in Grand Junction, Colorado. To build community and deepen our study of Ayurveda we will be hosted in a lovely private home with a kitchen where we can prepare food and eat together.

Is there any cost for lunch?

We ask for a $5 food donation for our light afternoon meal; it’s optional, there will be a donation jar at each meal. If you have food sensitivities we will work with you to make sure your tummy is full of the right food!

What books do I need to buy?

Most Modules have required reading, you’ll find those titles toward the bottom of each Module page. I provided links to Amazon, feel free to be creative in how you connect with these books. I’ve chosen them carefully and think they will be valued additions to your life and library! The cost of these books are not included in your tuition.

Will there be a manual?

Yes! One for each Module, the cost is included in your tuition.

What other costs should I plan for?

Tuition, books, lunch donation, $50 YA Certification Fee for those seeking YA Certification. Those are the core costs. Incidentals would include a journal, pens, transportation costs and lodging if you live out of town.

I am coming to the trainings from out of town, what about lodging?

Welcome! Email me and I’ll link you to resources.

What if I’m in the Teacher Track and miss a Module?

You are strongly encouraged to make the time to attend all modules, to keep the momentum of your learning. If you must miss a Module, there is a make-up process with a fee.
